Now,I am going to share one of the most beautiful and elegant weddings at the Roundhouse in Beacon, New York, of a lovely couple- Wendy and Kai! I feel so excited and honored while talking about this wonderful celebration and being part of the special day.
Wendy & Kai’s wedding was filled with their closest friends and family members. As a New York wedding photographer, I have been lucky to cover some of the most amazing wedding venues, and Roundhouse in Beacon is one of them. Initially, it was built as a textile manufacturing factory in the 1800s and has now been restored to perfection. Read on to learn more and get whisked away into the realm of endless excitement and celebrations this New York wedding was all about.
Industrial Wedding Venue
The Roundhouse is a gorgeous wedding venue in New York for every season. The event space offers a perfect mix of rustic elegance and modern sophistication located in the heart of Hudson Valley.
The Beacon wedding venue has a beautiful garden for hosting outdoor celebrations and a huge industrial space with floor-to-ceiling windows for indoor ceremonies. It is situated right on the banks of Fishkill Creek, with stunning views of the waterfall and surrounding mountains. The waterfall room is the main event space that conveniently accommodates 200+ guests for seated dinner. It is versatile and can be personalized to fit your vision for the day.

A Memorable Affair
Wendy and Kair both got ready together at the event space. The wedding at the Roundhouse began with the couple preparing for it, taking candid photos with their respective parties. Wendy and her bridal party genuinely enjoyed, toasted, and celebrated the beginnings of the long-awaited day. Once both bride and groom were ready, they exchanged their first look, which was arranged on the property overlooking the waterfall. In her stylish off-shoulder white gown, Wendy looked dazzling, and Kai looked dapper in his gray attire. The couple had decided to read their vows to each other at their first look, and it was nothing less than emotional and full of love. Their love was shown so clearly from the start of the day. Seeing the handsome groom cry so hard at their first look until he finished his vows was emotional.
Afterwards, we walked around the nearby space of the wedding venue in New York for the portraits. The beautiful thing about this wedding venue is that you don’t have to venture out to find great photography places. It truly made my job easier!
The ceremony was hosted indoors, and the seating arrangement was set up as a runway show with all the guests waiting eagerly for the gorgeous couple to arrive. They were all smiles when Wendy and Kai arrived hand-in-hand, smiling. After the ceremony, everyone rejoiced and celebrated their union. Wendy and Kai sealed this lovely moment with a passionate kiss while all of their family and friends cheered for them indefinitely. As the ceremony concluded, the newlyweds took many pictures with their loved ones. They are also looking for some time off with me for a romantic photoshoot with just the two of them. The Beacon wedding venue offered some magnificent views, so Wendy & Kai used it to their advantage and had stunning portraits taken. As a New York wedding photographer, I find taking couples for a few moments after the ceremony lets them relax and be on their own.
Later in the day, it was the time to celebrate! The reception was hosted inside the Roundhouse, and it gathered their friends and family members. It was followed by really emotional and heartfelt toasts from the family and friends, where they showered words of love and praise about their strength and relationship. The uniqueness of The Roundhouse never ceases to impress me! The brick walls beautifully mix with wooden features, forming a setting that embodies industrial glamor. After a tasty dinner, the newlyweds, along with their guests, showed off their incredible dance moves. In fact, this was one of the highlights of this New York wedding! Instead of going the traditional route, Kai and Wendy performed a very cool dance that would stay in everyone’s memory. Honestly, for me, Wendy & Kai are very laid-back, chill, and sweethearts. It was truly a perfect day, and I just can’t thank this lovely couple for having me for their wedding at the Roundhouse.
